It's a New School Year

It's the 2008-2009 school year. I have a whole new group of second graders ready to post to a blog. We created a new blog called Second Grade Rocks! I have left this blog up for everyone to come back and visit.

3rd Trimester Awards

On Tuesday, second grade classes met to pass out awards for the third trimester. Students who accumulated 20 or more points on Accelerated Reader received metals and certificates.

Unit 2 SCOE All-Stars!

Four students from our class passed all sections of our end of unit reading test. Congratulations! Thanks for your hard work!

Field Trip November 8, 2007

We will be going on a walking field trip to the local public library.

Date: November 8, 2007
Time: Leave school 8:00 a.m. Return by 10:00 a.m.

Parents are welcome to join us. Please make sure your child wears comfortable shoes and dresses appropriately for the weather.

We will be performing at the second grade flag assembly this week. Come and watch us sing!

Picture Day Tomorrow!

Sorry about the late notice, picture day is tomorrow! Students can have a free dress day if they want to dress up for their picture instead of wearing their uniform.
